Restful weekends with friends are the BEST


Friday night I joined CS and her kiddos @ 3 Spoons for some yummy fro yo. It was so fun to be them and Celebrate C's birthday!! I love God gives new friends exactly when you need them.


My tummy was nao happy with me. Boo. I think to try to help out my geographic tongue I'm going to take Vitamin B, C and Zinc supplements.


Saturday, the weather was so nice. The sun was shiny and warm. I met some friends at Common Grounds and enjoyed a few games of Banana Grams. I love this group of people so much.



Later on that night my friends wanted to be crafty and artistic. JR was wearing a hair pin made of fabric yo yo's. My Grandma taught my twin and I how to make yo yo's when we were younger so we went to Hobby Lobby to buy fabric.

I was able to go to CB first ZUMBA class today and I was so proud of her. She is my favorite ZUMBA instructor.

A dream is wish your heart makes....

Dreams are so sweet sometimes. Other times the make you think, but last night was a sweet dream. Last night, I had a dream of my sister's dancing and worshiping Jesus together. It was oh so sweet. We were going all out dancing and singing to the King who is worthy of all praise.

Shoes

Okay, I love shoes. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The only problem is my feet are so small it's hard to find shoes that fit. However, the last month I have found two cute and great pairs of shoes !

The first pair I found was over the Christmas Holiday. I found these adorable purple heels. I really wanted the navy blue, but they didn't have my size. I never pass a cute pair of high heels. For some reason high heels are really hard to find in size 5. Now, I just need an occasion to wear them.

The second pair of shoes are for running & ZUMBA. I haven't bought new workout out shoes in YEARS Like 5 or more. I have a goal for this year to be more active and workout more. It's pretty easy so far, because I love going to ZUMBA classes and is a nice stress reliever after a day at work where I sit. I found so many shoes I like, but the Nike Pegasus gave the best support for my feet and are really comfy. I used them for the first time last night. I'm going to try them out for a few days to see how they feel during workouts.I really wish the shoes came in turquoise and a darker color, but you can't win them all. Oh well. :)

Christmas Eve

Oh, how I love Christmas, especially in San Antonio. I love being with my dad's family. I love the hills in San Antonio/San Marcos. Being down there makes me feel so safe.

Christmas Eve morning my dad and sis went to San Marcos for some last minute shopping. It's kinda a tradition. I always finish my Christmas shopping before the 24th, becasue I know my dad waits to the last minute. So the 24th is reserved to help my dad. I love it. We bought gifts for my little cousins. I love seeing my dad buy toys, especially for my two little girl cousin. He bough Bella zhu zhu pets and made sure she had accessories. HA!

After shopping we went to Gruene for lunch. Gruene is absolutely my favorite place on earth. We first went to the antique store, because I was hoping a turquoise rotary phone was still there. Unfort, it was gone :(. However, Danielle bought some boots and I found the coolest and cutest mustard yellow Seattle salt & pepper shakers. AAAHHHHHH!!! I was so excited. I love mustard yelllow and love SEATTLE! So I didn't think for a second when I bought them. I will have to take a picture of my desk, because it's a collection of my favorite thing, which includes the shakers.

After shopping we went to the Gristmill for lunch. My dad stopped me and wanted a picture with the tower. I had to lay on the grass to get the look her wanted. Really, my dad gets cuter as he gets older. I mean look at the little brown man.


For lunch I orderd the Caesar Salad, Danielle ordered the catfish with fries, and my dad got the strawberry shortcake. We then all shared. Probably the best lunch in Christmas Eve history. Here we are before eating.
This day was one of my favorite days of 2010. I loved being with Danielle and Dad and listening to George Strait Christmas. I love them so much. For a long time they were the people I was always with and I miss those days.

I'm a nerd

While I was in McKinney for New Years my sissy and I went shopping. We went to Dillard's and scored two cute purses for 70% off. I was very proud of both of us.
On our way to Dillard's I saw The Container Store. I got really excited! I can't wait to own my house own day and go crazy there. I LOVE office supplies and anything that's cute and help with organization. I had been eyeing some really cute brocade designed office supplies for the past 3 months. I saw on the Cashmere and Cupcakes blog. Ao, while I was there I bought them. I got the magazine file and the magnetic desk organizer.

So sorry for the lack of posts. My sweet Aunt Kiki past away new year's day and I have been super busy with work and traveling.

So here we go:

78. Bringing in the New Year with my sissy

80. Knowing my Aunt Kiki is Heaven Restored and at Peace
81. Traveling to Kenedy and spending time with my family. It's amazing to see how my family pulls together in times of loss and celebration.
82. Having friends along I-35 letting me crash on their couches or guest bedrooms and feeding me dinner and breakfast.

Aunt Kiki

My aunt Kiki past away January 1, 2011. She was my grandma's youngest sister. Even though she was my great aunt she was more like another aunt or one of the girls. She was always ready to be with the younger kids to go shopping, be part of a celebration or to help make food. Aunt Kiki was at my graduation from Texas State and joined my family for my Water Baptism. I remember after I got out of the river she told me "I am so happy for you. Jesus and I both love you."

She was a woman who loved well. A woman who loved to be in style and always looked presentable. i.e. the hat in the picture. A woman who was always ready to laugh. A woman who was always ready for coffee. A woman who always told people how it really was, in a kind-hearted way. She will be missed.
