More day of Birth Celebrating
A group of friends and I went to the Pumpkin Patch out in West, TX! Our time there consisted on climbing & jumping off of bells of hay, going through a corn maze that took longer than normal. It was fun to be a very diverse group of people. Some of my friends were in elevate with me and others in my Lifegroup.
After finally escaping the maze we went on a hay ride, where we sang Christmas music(my fav) and Little Mermaid songs. Then we were off to race some rubber ducks, then some of the guys decided to shoot some tennis balls at Jenny.
It was a very fun night with many laughs!

I need Your Help!
Okay, to whoever reads my blog, I need your help. I found a cute IKEA chair on Craigslist I want to buy and started researching covers for the chair. This is where YOU come in. Leave a comment saying which one you like. You can leave your answer anonymously or whatever. Thanks!
I Want You Back
When I was in 5th grade me and 4 other girls were the Jackson 5. I was Michael Jackson. We performed a choreographed dance to "I Want You Back". I wish I had pictures to show you Danielle & I in Yellow Bell Bottoms and Afros. I remember after our performance.
Both my parents were there, mom at the concession stand and dad doing the sound. I bet we made the proud :)
Here is a rendition of the same song by the Civil Wars. Gosh, I wish I could perform like them.

Special Saturday
A little pause from the Birthday celebration. Well, to come and think of it this was part of the birthday celebration.
My twin sister, Danielle, came to town this Saturday. She drove in with our cousins. Nancy and Shelby both went to K State and Baylor was playing them in football. Danielle spent the afternoon with me with Evan.
This would be like part 3 of Birthday Celebrations. Danielle bought me the watch I hinted at earlier in this blog. Here we are modeling our watches.

Here is Evan modeling Danielle's boat shoes.
And here's a picture of the sisters!!
Danielle, I had so much fun with you. I loved being able to jump on the trampoline, curling hair, and eating celery :) Can't wait to hang out again

Birthday Celebrations Part 1 :)
So for my 24th birthday I am having a sort of a Birthday Month. It's still going on...YAY! My birthday started with dinner and custard with Elise and Aaron.
We took the dogs with us. Chuy and Snickers love Katie's Custard.
Friday was my actual day of birth. It was my first birthday without my twin, Danielle. It was very weird not to have her around. Friday morning I started the day with Starbucks. I got a piece of pumpkin bread and a Pumpkin Spice Latte. My Campus Pastors sent me a giftcard.
I then was able to Skype with Danielle and open Birthday cards from our parents. Later in the afternoon my "co worker" Crystal took me out for a Birthday lunch. I am so lucky to work with people I get a long with. Crystal keeps me sane in our little office. I am able to laugh with her and talk about Jesus.

She took me to World Cup cafe and I got the Fried Catfish with sweet Potato Fries and Banana Pudding...YUM

After lunch we headed to an apartment building, Magnolia, is looking to buy and then back to work. After work I went my friend Cece's house. She made me a nice birthday dinner. After dinner I went to go see Rick Pino in concert with my friend Andrew. Rick was great in concert.

My friend Jenny was also at the concert. Her Father in Law is the Pastor of the church where Rick Pino was playing. We used to work together and she is so fun.

I can definitely say my 24th birthday was a GREAT one. I am so thankful for great friends and family.
Part 2 to come :)

24 years old!! 1 of 365
So today is my BIRTHDAY!! I am 24 crazy! As I was praying I felt like Jesus told me this year will be a year of Blessing & Joy! I receive that! I am excited to see what God has for me. I just love serving a God who is bigger than anything and he is my EVERYTHING! He has provided, loved, protected, cared, disciplined me in so many ways. He is pretty awesome!
Since I did hear the Lord say this year will be a year of blessings, I decided to do a list of about 3-5 blessing and things I enjoy everyday. I hope I can keep up! It's so good to list and speak of the good this Jesus has done for us. He lavishes us with good things because we are his children. He is a GREAT PAPA!!
Here it goes:
1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Fact I am forgiven by His Grace and he, The Holy Spirit, lives inside of me! The greatest thing is love is FREE! All we have to do is ask him into our hearts and when we do that he comes in mighty ways. It's about living a life with Jesus and not separated from him.
2. My Mom who loves well
3. My Dad who loves me unconditionally.
4. My 2 sisters who walk with me through this crazy life. They are the two people who love me and rebuke me....bc we all need that
5. My bro - Aaron Smith. Who speak truth and is the bestest brother ever!
Lovies, D

The Civils Wars and JMM!!
A few weeks ago Ani and Paul came into town for the David Crowder Fantastical Worship Conference. It was so nice to have Ani in Waco. We roomed together for a year and a half in college. We actually shared a room for one semester, She is now living in Dallas with her husband, Austin, and going to seminary.

Friday, they called me to join them for the last concert, which was John Mark McMillan and The Civil Wars. They parked at Kelsey's apt so she joined as well!

I knew of JMM and his song "How He Loves", but not much of his other songs. He was so good. I love how he shares the love of Jesus through his music.
Next on stage were the, Civil Wars, and they were AWESOME!! I mean the harmonies and stage chemistry is heart stopping. i kep thinking they were married, until Paul informed me they were not.
Here is a video of one of their performances. LOVE THEM!!

It's a BOY!!
*My posts are totally out of order, however I couldn't wait any longer!!*
Elise and Aaron are having a BOY! I'm going to have a nephew! I knew it was a boy. This past Wednesday we met at Fudruckers for dinner and desert to reveal the gender.
E & A asked people to wear pink or blue for girl or boy. I wore a Blue Shirt with Pink earrings. If it was a girl I wanted to let her know I was happy, but it's a BOY...and I was right. Here are some pics.

DIY Project with Mouse
The other day while reading blogs I found a really cute one: Cupcakes and Cashmere. I saw this post and fell in love!!
So I sent it to Mouse and Danielle telling them I really wanted to do this for my bedroom. So last Saturday I had a few hours to spend so I went to Mouses apartment. We decided to try to make our own Floating Vases.
We first went to Lowe's where we were really confused when the guy was cutting out ply wood.We had to ask him to cut it again in different measurements. Our pieces of wood were 1 ft x 1ft

We then went to Hobby Lobby and bought the rest of our materials.
After shopping we went over to Elise and Aaron's house so he could drill some holes in our ply wood.

Then we headed back to Mouse's to finish our projects.

We got busy during the rest of the project, so the digi didn't come out and play.
Here are the finished projects.
Here is a picture of the Floating Vases in my Room:
I am planning to add something in the middle....there will be a followup post when the project is finished.
I now just need to hang up my $10 Craigslist Mirror!! It even matches my room!!
Till my next DIY Project, which should be my headboard...

Come to Me
“Come to Me . . . .” When you hear those words, you will know that something must happen in you before you can come. The Holy Spirit will show you what you have to do, and it will involve anything that will uproot whatever is preventing you from getting through to Jesus. And you will never get any further until you are willing to do that very thing. The Holy Spirit will search out that one immovable stronghold within you, but He cannot budge it unless you are willing to let Him do so."
-Oswald Chamber
Lord, what stronghold am I not letting go of? I want to run in this time and not walk.

Intro to “Nobody Loves Me”
WOW!! Listening to Derek Webb, and he is BLOWING my Mind!! I listened to the intro to "Nobody Loves Me" and was convicted to the core. It reminds me I or my other leader in LG have to lead or change our member, but it's the love of Jesus who does!!
Jesus, rebuke and correct me!!
“Flattery at its very best will encourage really nothing more in you and your community, then behavior modification. Modifying your behavior to act the way you should, to hide the things you do that are wrong, and to try to amplify the things that you do that are right.
But see here is the truth, all the behavior modification in the world will never change your heart and it can never change our communities. Jesus however, He does change our hearts and He will change our communities.”
Enjoy.
