Baylor Homecoming

I first want to say, I will always be a Texas State Bobcat! Eat'Em Up cats!!!

This past weekend was Baylor's homecoming and I enjoyed the festivities with the Smith's and Mouse. Friday night Elise and I met up with Mouse at the Bonfire. This was Elise's' first bonfire as a Baylor Bear. I had so much with my sister and one of my oldest and closest friends.Elise showing her school spirit!!

Saturday morning the whole Smith family went to the Baylor Parade. It was really fun and slow at the same time. I did get a little cat nap in...ha. It's true I can nap anywhere at any time. It was a fun weekend.

Too bad I have to miss Texas state's homecoming this weekend!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Christmas is my favorite season!!! Elise and I are getting in the spirit already. We painted are nails with O.P.I.'s shade called "Rosie Mistle Tosies!!" Now, our hand and feet are in the Christmas spirit!!

BABY SHOWER!!!

This past weekend I traveled to San Marcos to help host a Bay Shower for Baby Elise. Baby Elise's parents, Olivia and Gilbert, were the two people I "belonged" to in San Marcos. They kinda raised me my last two years of college. That baby is going to be so loved one she get here. Here are a few pics.

I did let my competitive side come out this weekend. Oops, I get into games so easily. HA! too tired to type. Really good day Elevate.

Love you BABY LISI!!!

DAD's Visit!!!

My DADDY came to town October 9-11. He came into town to celebrate my birthday a little early. Danielle and my dad drove in Friday and stopped by Amelia's to visit me and shop around of course.

Friday night was a "chill" night at the Smith casa. We ate dinner, then watch a little TV. We watched "The Dog Whisperer", which if you know my family we melt over. Growing up dogs were always a pert of the family and not just a pet. My dad's family LOVES dogs. We also updated my dad's BlackBerry Messenger, the new version is so COOL! It was a little funny, because for a moment the whole family was using their phones to communicate instead of real words. After TV time my dad and I went to Wal-Mart. We were looking for chorizo for breakfast in the morning. We didn't find the kind we usually buy, so we had to go to HEB. While we were at Wal-Mart my dad bought me a new notebook. My dad knows I love notebooks, so I plan to use it on my Seattle trip!!!! After Wal-Mart we went to HEB and looked for chorizo. We didn't find my dad's favorite, so he bought 3!!!

Saturday, my dad made BREAKFAST!!! We had chroizo, papas, bacon, and 2 of my favorite hot sauces from Amarillo!!!! I was a happy girl!! Unfortunately, I ad to go to work for a few hours. Once I got home we all went shopping, Aaron and Dad were so Excited! We first went to Forever XXI, and us girls found a lot of cute things, then we went to Magnolia's; they had YUMMY COFFEE AND BROWNIES, then we went to Cameron Park. Cameron Park made me a little car sick. It's so windy there, but very beautiful. Then we all headed to Baylor University. Elise showed us where she has classes and then we went to go see the Bears. We thought this was so cool!!

That evening we had dinner and Buzzard Billy's. Mouse joined us for the fun. The food was okay, but Danielle had to have her catfish! Afterwards we went back to Elise and Aaron's and had cookies, and a mini birthday party.

Sunday, we all got dressed up for church, and us girls dressed up as triplets. We all went to church and then breakfast at Cracker Barrel!! So, pretty much Sunday was the best day!! Dressing up, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and French Toast!!

I truly enjoyed this time with my dad. He is usually the first person I call when something cool, sad, exciting, bad happens to me. I know no matter what he can handle it...well most of the time. I do know my Heavenly Father can all the time!! So, I'm a pretty lucky girl!

My second roommate from college got married this weekend!!! Yay!
Stefani and Adam got married Friday night in Dripping Springs, at the Terrace Club!! Stefani was so BEAUTIFUL!! I couldn't be happier for this couple.

I loved spending time with Stef while we lived together. That girl doesn't have one mean bone in her body!! I loved making tuna with her, watching soaps, laughing at the ridiculous things WE did, crying about school, and her dragging me to the gym!

I especially loved seeing how much she loves Adam. They have he cutest relationship!!!

The ceremony was so sweet and the reception was a blast!!!3 out of the 4 roomies!

SEATTLE!!

Well, November 2-9, I'll will be going to Seattle, WA with a group of students and team leaders from Elevate. This will be our Fall Outreach trip. I am so EXCITED!!! We will be working with Mosaic Community Church, which is Antioch's church plant.

I have been praying I would be going to Seattle since, the day I got into Elevate. My friend Karen Wang gave me a picture of Seattle for graduation. This picture has been hanging in my room, and I would look at it and pray for her and God's children in Seattle. I had no idea if Seattle was on the list of cities for the outreaches, but I prayed anyways. I kept asking when were we find out and we finally did Friday!!!

Friday, we started with our root group from 8:30-10:00 and then were asked to go back into our room. The students were told by,Mick Murray, we would be sitting in silence for the next two hours and to pray. I'll just say not everyone was too excited about this! But anyways, everyone got quite and started to pray, then five minutes later the James Bond theme music started to play. We were told to get up and go search outside for a packet with our name on it. I found mine across the street at the church. We were told to go back to the basement and wait for everyone to get back. Once, everyone was back in the room we opened our envelopes. We found a piece of a puzzle in it, and had to find our team, by the color of the paper. I had the color yellow. As soon as we saw the puzzle we knew we were going to find out where we would be going. I saw two "T's" and knew we were going to Seattle. This is what the puzzle looked like after we were done:

We received another note and told to head to Mary and Blake's house. We were told all the things we would be doing and just prayed or the city of Seattle, WA!! Many members of our team, including me, saw a fire around Seattle. We know that this is the Holy Spirit surrounding his people with his love, healing, power, and compassion. I also saw raining pouring down on Seattle, which makes total sense and no sense at all, but fire and rain were together in my vision. I just felt like the rain was God's provision for Seattle, for them to have NEW LIFE in Him!! Also, with that vision, Mark, felt as if we are bring God's oil to the people of Seattle with the blood of Jesus. The only time you see water and fire mix together and see fire still standing is with an oil rig in a body of water.

I can't not wait to see what God does on this trip! I'm so EXCITED!!

I caved in!

I caved in like a concave contact lens!

This past week I bought my first pair of skinny jeans. When skinny jeans first came out I told myself I would never buy a pair, well I've learned, never say never!!

I bought them at Amelia Fashion Exchange for $12.00, HOLLA! It's really hard NOT to buy a pair of jean when all your co workers and sis tell you they look cute!! I'm a girl who loves words of affirmation!

The main reason I bought the jeans was so I could wear them with my new boots. I also found a pair of ROXY boots, at Amelia's, for 13.00!! They look a little like this pair:
I'll need them for my trip to SEATTLE in November! More on that later!!!
