Sigh

Sometimes I wake up missing this place..........

My heart longs for the Emerald City, but I'm pretty happy where
I am now.

Seattle,

Baby Murray

This Friday we had a Baby Shower for Steph and Mick Murray. They are expecting their bundle of joy in April! Mick is the Assistant Director of Elevate and these two are huge blessings. Their little boy is going to be surrounded by love. The class found out she was pregnant the first day of class, so we have seen her whole pregnancy....CRAZY!

I made Cake Balls for the shower. This was my first attempt with this tasty dessert. The first batch was a little sketchy, but the second batch turned out TERRIFIC!! I may sale some to raise support for Peru. Here is a picture of the first batch.

I got the recipe for Kelly's Recipes.

The shower was hosted by the Blankenship's. Their house was ADORABLE. I felt like I was on an Anthropology Catalog. Here is a picture of the hosts:
Here's a picture of the Mama and Daddy to be: These two people follow and Love Jesus with all their hearts! Mick gives direction and has sweet revelation of God's love and conviction. Steph is a mom to so many girls and loves everyone in a genuine way. Here is a picture of the food Spread. All I can say is all the food was delicious:

Here is the beautiful centerpiece. Craig cut these pear branches himself, after Jackie told him to....hahaha
I wasn't able to sat long, because it was Elise's birthday and had to get to dinner. I'm just glad I was able to bless the Murray's in a small way. Together as an Elevate class we gave them over $6,000 to get a new car!!! Big number, but doesn't compare to the impact they have had in mine and so many other lives.

Day with mama

This post is OVER due.
While on Amarillo we spent Wednesday with mama. It's probable safe to say I gained about 10lbs back. My mom cooked all three meals....yes you read that right.
We also went shopping and she is a very sneak woman, and bought Lisi and I presents. I LOVE my yellow sweater!

Here is a pic of Elise and my mom.
I think if my mom could have a different job she would have been a Stager. A stager is someone who will decorate houses that are for sale. She is a really good decorator.

this Little guy also loved a day at his grandma'sThanks mom for a GREAT day!

Mission Trips

Well, this week, on Kelly's Korner, people are sharing stories about their mission trips. This year I am in Elevate, a Discipleship Training School, in Waco Texas. I go to class 4 days a week, enjoy great teachings. Through this class we read the whole Bible during school year, share the gospel 3 times a week, Disciple and are Discipled, and volunteer at the church in many ways.
I am in the Administration track, through this I have learned more about my giftings and have been able to work for people in the church. I also volunteer in our prayer room and book store on Sundays.

It's quite amazing to go through this school and learn so much about Jesus and God and how I am to be obedient. Plus, the way he loves us is so good!

This Fall we went on a Mission Trip to Seattle, WA!!! I first have to say I had been praying for the city of Seattle since May, and then God sent me there. My team went out and shared the gospel at Pike's Place Market and University of Washington. We saw about 5 people healed and 7 people give their live to the LORD!!! WOO HOOO!!! Also, while we were there we were able to connect with Mosaic Community Church. Here are a few pictures:

The Team

This trip taught me that everyone in WORLD needs the love of JESUS, that includes people in the U.S.! Seattle is known for people wanting to start a new life and a city of introverts. I will say if they want a new life - Jesus is the way! Plus, everyone I met was so open to talking with me and want to know more about Jesus. I think people are just wanting someone to talk to there.

This May I am going to PERU!!!! In Novemeber, the Elevate staff told us we were to pick between 3 countries to go to for the month of May. The choices were Peru, Uganda and Tunisia. I really wanted to choose Tunisia, because I have a heart for Morocco, Spain, and people of the Muslim faith. Tunisia borders Morocco, so I thought it would be an easy choice. I prayed about it and felt like the Lord told me Peru, so I was obedient and requested Peru. I am so excited. My church is wanting to church plant there in the new future, so this is an exploratory trip. I will be the team's administrator. We will be looking for the lost, hungry and People of Peace! I can't wait to see what God has in store there.

I am having to raise $3,000 by the end of April. I know I serve a God who provides, and he can will do it! He's gotten me this far and he's not about to let go.

Steak? Yes, please!!!

While in Amarillo my dad took me and Lisi to Logan's! Yes, I know Logan's is a chain, but it's one of my favs in Amarillo. I am also cheap so the only time I eat steak is when I'm with my dad.....becasue he pays :). Plus, I love going there with him and we order the same thing: 6oz Steak Medium Well, and a Caesar salad....Yum.

I am so thankful to have my dad in my life. He shows me love in little ways, like going to the grocery before 5am to make chorizo and eggs and packing breakfast burritos in foil :). Or how he buys me chap stick, raspberry flavored, because it's pink, because he knows how my lips get dry.

I love how we can spend the morning watching Fred Astaire footage and we both either play or sing his songs the rest of the day. Or how he thinks it's so "cool" when I teach him something new on the computer. I definitely feel most comfy and loved when we are together in the same room and with no words being said. I think that says a lot, 1. I don't share my feeling openly with word, but more written words 2. I love quality time with people.

Downtown Amarillo

Today, Daddy, Elise and I were in Downtown Amarillo. Dad had to run a few errands so, Elise, and I made it into a photo session. I felt like a tourist in my hometown. :).

Enjoy.
